The Mayor shall preside over the deliberation of Council and
shall conduct the meetings. The Mayor shall participate in the determination
of borough affairs as provided in N.J.S.A. 40A:60-1, et seq. Nothing
set forth in this chapter shall be interpreted to limit the Mayor's
powers as provided in N.J.S.A. 40A:60-5.

The Mayor shall preserve order and decorum and shall have any
person removed who shall interrupt the orderly proceedings of council.

Should two or more members of Council rise at the same time,
the Mayor shall determine who is entitled to the floor.

The Mayor shall decide all questions of order without debate
in accordance with Robert's Rules of Order, however, the council may
be consulted for their opinion upon any question of order should the
Mayor so desire.
The Mayor shall be an ex officio member of all committees, both
standing and special, and shall be informed in advance of all meetings
of such committees.
The Mayor shall serve as the liaison between the governing body
and all boards, committees, agencies or organizations except as herein
assigned to a specific Council committee for liaison purposes.

Should the Mayor be absent or unable to perform the normal duties
of office, the Council President shall assume the duties of the Mayor
as provided in N.J.S.A. 40A:60-3.
