Prior to the appointment of any applicant to a position in the Borough of Lawnside, the person shall undergo a physical examination to be administered by the Borough Physician and any other examination or examinations when requested by the appointing authority. The prospective appointee or employee shall also complete and file a prescribed questionnaire of physical condition and history when requested.
An applicant for employment may be rejected, in addition to other valid reasons, if in the opinion of the Borough Physician he is physically unfit to perform the duties of the position for which he has applied or his condition will subject the borough to increased responsibility and liability for and as a result of the physical condition from which he presently suffers.
