There is hereby established, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135,
the position of Deputy Borough Clerk.
Said Deputy Clerk shall be appointed by the Mayor and Council
at the annual reorganization meeting for a one year term or at such
other time as the position may be or become vacant for the remainder
of the year that such vacancy may occur.
The initial salary of said Deputy Clerk shall be $6,240 per
annum and as the Annual Salary Ordinance[1] shall set forth thereafter.
The duties of such Clerk shall be to assist the Municipal Clerk
at said Clerk's direction and to assume all the powers, functions
and duties of Municipal Clerk during said Clerk's absence or disability.
