In order to protect the health, welfare and safety of the inhabitants
of the township, it is deemed advisable to prohibit the parking of
trailers as hereinafter defined within the limits of the township.
As used in this section:
Is any vehicle, or any structure originally constructed and
designed as a vehicle, which vehicle or structure was originally intended
to be used as a means of conveyance upon public streets or highways,
and which was also designed, redesigned, constructed or reconstructed
in such a manner to permit the occupancy thereof for the storage of
goods and/or materials of any kind, nature or description.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park any self-propelled
or non-self-propelled trailer on any premises within the limits of
the township and no trailers shall be used for business, commercial
or private purposes of any kind on private property or otherwise.
Nothing in this shall be construed to prohibit the following:
a.Â
Trailers which are in the process of being repaired.
b.Â
Trailers used for the transportation or delivery of goods and/or
merchandise of any kind, nature or description providing that such
trailer shall not stand for a period in excess of 24 hours.
c.Â
Trailers which are being used in conjunction with the construction
or alteration of a building or structure for which a building permit
has been issued, provided that such trailer shall be removed within
60 days after the certificate of occupancy has been issued.
Any person who shall violate this section or any of its provisions
shall upon conviction thereof be subject to a fine not exceeding $100
or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days, or both, and each
day that a violation continues shall be a separate violation.
