§ 223-6 Vehicles on sidewalks prohibited.

No person shall operate a motor vehicle or tractor upon any sidewalk in the Borough of Plymouth; nor shall any person operate a motor vehicle upon or across any sidewalk except in order to gain access to or egress from a driveway or alley at such locations where the curb, if such sidewalk is curbed, shall violate any provision of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $50 and costs of prosecution, and on default in payment of such fine and costs to undergo imprisonment for not more that 10 days.

§ 223-7 Speed limits established.

A maximum speed limit of 25 miles per hour is hereby established on all streets and roadways of the Borough of Plymouth and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle at a higher speed than the maximum prescribed in this section.

Any person who shall operate a vehicle at a speed in excess of that established by subsection a of this section upon any street or roadway of the Borough of Plymouth shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of $35 and the cost of prosecution. Any person exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than five miles per hour over the maximum speed limit. Any person convicted under this section who defaults in the payment of any fines or costs imposed under this section shall undergo imprisonment for not more than five days.

§ 223-8 Traffic signals at certain intersections.

At the following intersections, official traffic signals shall be erected (or if heretofore erected are hereby ratified), and traffic at such intersections shall be directed by such signals:

Bridge Street at East Main Street

East Main Street Crossing at Washington Avenue and Cherry Street

East Main Street at Eno Street

West Main Street at Gaylord Avenue and Hanover Street

West Main Street at Flat Road and Coal Street

Any operator of a vehicle or tractor who shall disobey the directions of any traffic signal shall, upon conviction there, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs of prosecution and, on default in payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than three days.

§ 223-9 One way highways established.

The following are hereby established as one-way highways:

Any person who shall operate a motor vehicle or tractor upon any highway or portion thereof hereby established as a one-way highway other than in the direction hereby established for traffic thereon shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $25 and costs of prosecution and on default in payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than five days.

§ 223-10 U-turns prohibited on portions of certain highways.

It shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor vehicle or tractor to make a u-turn on any of the following portions of highways:

Any person who shall violate any provision of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $25 and costs of prosecution, and on default in payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than five days.

§ 223-11 Turns prohibited at certain intersections.

It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle or tractor traveling upon the first-named highway, in the direction of directions hereby indicated in each case, to make a left turn and/or right turn at the following intersection, as hereby indicated:

Any person who shall violate any provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $25 and costs of prosecution, and on default in payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than five days.

§ 223-12 Traffic to keep to right of structures and barriers.

All vehicular traffic shall keep to the right of the following structures or barriers located in the center of the specified intersections:

Any person who shall operate a vehicle or tractor in violation of any provision of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $25 and costs of prosecution, and on default of payment of such fines and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than five days.

§ 223-13 Through highways established.

The following highways are hereby established as through highways, and the operator of every vehicle or tractor upon approaching any such highway at any intersection thereof (except for such intersections where there are now or shall hereafter be located official traffic signals) shall come to a full stop, within a reasonable distance, before entering any such through highway:

Any operator of a vehicle or tractor who shall fail to come to a full stop, within a reasonable distance, before entering any such through highway, as hereinabove required, shall upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs of prosecution and, on default in payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than three days.

§ 223-14 Stop intersections established.

The following intersections (in addition to highways established by § 223-13 of this article) are hereby established as stop intersections, and official stop signs shall be erected (or are hereby confirmed if heretofore erected) in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named highway upon the first-named highway, in the direction of directions hereby indicated. All vehicles and tractors approaching any such inter-section upon the first-named highway, in the direction of directions hereby indicated in each case, shall come to a full stop, within a reasonable distance, before entering any such intersection:

Any operator of a vehicle or tractor who shall fail to come to a full stop, within a reasonable distance before entering any stop intersection, as hereinabove required, shall upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs of prosecution and, on default in payments of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than three days.

§ 223-15 Yield right-of-way intersections established.

The following intersections are hereby established as yield right-of-way intersections, and official yield signs shall be erected (or are hereby ratified if heretofore erected) in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named highway from the first-named highway, in the direction or directions hereby indicated, shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle in the intersection or approaching on the second-named highway so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard during the time that the operator of such vehicle or tractor is moving across or within such intersection:

Any operator of a vehicle or tractor who shall fail to yield the right-of-way as hereinabove required shall upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs of prosecution and, on default in payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than three days.

§ 223-16 Certain classes of vehicles prohibited on certain highways.

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any vehicle or tractor except a passenger vehicle (but not including any passenger vehicle drawing any trailer or towing any other vehicle) upon any of the following portions of the highways in the Borough of Plymouth:

Any person who shall violate any provision of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $50 and costs of prosecution, and on default in payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than 10 days. Nothing herein shall prohibit the operation of any commercial vehicle or tractor upon any highway or portion thereof listed hereinabove where such operation thereon shall be necessary in order to pick up or deliver any goods, wares, merchandise or material from or to any premises located upon any such highway or portion thereof.

§ 223-17 Vehicle weight limits established.

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle or other tractor, trailer or tractor-trailer combination having a gross weight in excess of that herein respectively prescribed upon any of the following highways or portions thereof:
