As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
To stand a vehicle, whether occupied or not, for a period of time greater than is reasonably necessary for the actual loading or unloading of persons or cargo.

When parking spaces are marked off on the pavement, vehicles shall be parked within such marked places. Spaces prohibiting parking may be indicated by red paint on the curb or signs with the words "No Parking" thereon.
There shall be no parking on either side of any Village street unless there is a sign posted along a street allowing parking.
It is unlawful to park any vehicle at any place where parking is prohibited by the corporate authorities of the Village.
When signs are erected indicating no parking upon that side of the street adjacent to or across from any school property, hospital or other public building, no person shall park a vehicle in any such designated place.
No person shall stop, stand, or park any vehicle upon a street, other than an alley, in such manner or under such conditions as to leave less than 10 feet of the width of the roadway for free movement of vehicular traffic, except that a driver may stop temporarily during the actual loading or unloading of passengers or when necessary in obedience to traffic regulations or traffic signs or signals or a police officer. No person shall park a vehicle within an alley in such a manner or under such conditions as to leave available less than 10 feet of width of the roadway for the free movement of vehicular traffic.
No person shall park a vehicle on any street for a period of time longer than 30 minutes between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of any day, except physicians on emergency calls or emergency vehicles responding to an emergency.
No person shall stand or park a vehicle upon any roadway for the principal purpose of displaying it for sale, or for washing, greasing or repairing such vehicle except repairs necessitated by an emergency.
When signs are erected or painted on the curbs as provided in § 295-11 hereof giving notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets, highways, roadways or alleys in the Village of Tilton and no person shall at any time park a vehicle in the following locations:
