There is hereby established the Shade Tree Advisory Committee
of the Borough of Woodbury Heights, hereinafter referred to as the
Advisory Committee.
The Committee shall consist of five members appointed by the
Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council. Members shall be
appointed for a term of two years.
The Advisory Committee shall organize annually and from its
members elect a Chairperson who shall preside over all meetings, in
addition to a Vice-Chairperson and Secretary.
No member of the Committee shall receive compensation for his
or her service to the Advisory Committee.
The Advisory Committee shall provide the Mayor and Borough Council,
and, where appropriate, other borough boards, commissions, or committees
with advice and, where appropriate, recommendations with respect to
the regulation, planting, maintenance, and care of shade and ornamental
trees and shrubbery now located, or which may hereafter be planted
in any public highway, park or parkway, including the planting, trimming,
spraying, care and protection of such ornamental trees and shrubbery
within the borough.
