Town of Delmar, MD Chapter 45 Officers and Employees

Article I Medical Insurance

§ 45-1 Town to provide insurance.

[Amended at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 15, General Provisions, Art. II)]

The Town shall provide that each eligible employee of the Town, during his/her employment, be covered by a group medical plan, which plan includes major medical coverage and life insurance, with a company or companies selected by said Town, and all costs of said plan shall be funded by the Town from general revenues, less any employee contributions.

§ 45-2 Agreement for provision of services.

Once the company has been selected to carry the program, the Mayor may enter into a binding agreement with said company to provide the coverage approved by the Commissioners.

§ 45-3 When effective.

This article shall take effect five days from and after the date of its passage or adoption.
