There shall be a Municipal Court in the Borough, pursuant to
the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1, et seq.; to be known as "The Municipal
Court of the Borough of Jamesburg, Middlesex County."

The Municipal Court shall have a seal bearing the impress of
the name of the court.

The Court shall be held in the Borough Hall or such other place
as the Borough Council designates, and shall exercise all the functions,
powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred upon Municipal Courts by
law. Court days and hours shall be fixed by the Municipal Court Judge
subject to the approval of the Administrative Director for the Courts.

There shall be a Judge of the Municipal Court, who shall be
appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Borough
Council, and who shall serve for a term of three years from the date
of his appointment and until a successor is duly appointed and qualified.
The Municipal Judge shall have, possess and exercise all the functions,
powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred by law or ordinance.
The Judge of the Municipal Court shall sit on such days and
for such periods of time as may be established above, and at such
other times as the business of the Court may require, subject to the
rules applicable to Municipal Courts.

The Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Borough Council,
may, by ordinance or resolution at any time, provide for a Court Administrator
or other necessary assistance for the Court and for their compensation.
He may likewise designate by ordinance or resolution, with the approval
of the Supreme Court, any officer or employee of the Borough to serve
as Court Administrator of the Municipal Court with or without additional
compensation.
