A.
United Hook & Ladder No. 33, headquartered in New Oxford, Pennsylvania,
is hereby designated as the primary provider of fire protection in
and for the Borough of Abbottstown.
B.
Adams Regional Emergency Medical Services is hereby designated as
the primary provider of basic/advanced life support services in and
for the Borough of Abbottstown.
The Regional EMS Council and the Adams County Communications
Center shall be notified of the above designation by the forwarding
to such organizations of a certified copy of this article.
A.
If any section, clause, provision or portion of this article shall
be held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction,
such decision shall not affect any other section, clause, provision
or portion of this article so long as it remains legally enforceable
minus the invalid portion.
B.
The Borough reserves the right to amend this article or any portion
thereof from time to time as it shall deem advisable in the best interests
of the promotion of the purposes and intent of this article and the
effective administration thereof.
C.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances that are inconsistent herewith
are hereby repealed.
This article shall be effective five days after the date of
adoption, on July 23, 2019.
This article is enacted by the Council of the Borough of Abbottstown
under the Borough Code and any other applicable law arising under
the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
