The legislative intent of this article is to delegate to the
Chief of Police of the Town of Schodack the authority and power to
request and grant police assistance involving other local governments
pursuant to New York State General Municipal Law §§ 209-m
and 119-o, and to direct and designate police personnel and resources
so as to effectuate all joint agreements currently existing or adopted
in the future allowing for the sharing of police personnel and resources
with neighboring local governments.
Pursuant to General Municipal Law §§ 209-m and 119-o,
the Town Board of the Town of Schodack hereby delegates to the Chief
of Police of the Town of Schodack the authority and power to request
and grant police assistance involving other local governments pursuant
to New York State General Municipal Law §§ 209-m and 119-o.
This article shall take effect immediately and shall become
effective upon filing in the Office of the Secretary of State of New
York.
