The Borough of Wharton is authorized to accept both credit card
and debit card payments for tax bills, water bills, sewer bills, and
any other fees. Any bill or fee that is paid by either credit card
or debit card shall be subject to a convenience fee equal to the greater
of 2.65% of the original bill/fee or $3, which convenience fee shall
be added to and become part of the original bill/fee. E-checks shall
be subject to a convenience fee in the amount of $1.50, which shall
be added to and become a part of the original bill/fee. Convenience
fees shall be charged for any credit card, debit card or e-check payments
made, whether in person or online.
