There shall be an Open Space Committee consisting of five members appointed by the Moderator for three-year staggered terms.

The Committee shall be authorized to implement the Open Space Plan by acquiring land, including incurring legal and engineering costs associated with such acquisitions, and to investigate sources of funding for any such land acquisitions. Final approval of all land acquisitions must be made by Town Meeting.
The Committee shall report annually to the Town Meeting on its activities.
