(a) 
Two softball fields located in Shady Grove Park are available for privately sponsored tournament play on Saturdays and/or Sundays only. Park rules apply.
(b) 
Tournaments must be sponsored by corporate or nonprofit organizations. Tournaments by individual teams will not be permitted.
(c) 
Tournament sponsors are not allowed to alter the fields in any way.
(d) 
All tournaments will be associated through USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association). Umpires will be provided by UAT (Umpire Association of Texas). Rate of pay for officials shall be the amount required by UAT.
(e) 
Games will be played in accordance with the USSSA rules and the current city adult softball program bylaws, unless otherwise agreed by the tournament sponsor/renter and the city.
(f) 
Alcoholic beverage consumption is prohibited in the parks.
(g) 
Game time is no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and ending no later than 11:00 p.m.
(h) 
Tournaments must be scheduled at least two (2) weeks apart and not more than two (2) during any given month.
(i) 
Signage or advertising must be in accordance with city ordinances and/or state laws.
(j) 
Tournament sponsors shall be responsible for picking up the trash and placing in the appropriate trash receptacles.
(k) 
In the event of inclement weather, the city park and recreation department will have governing authority to cancel a tournament and/or reschedule.
(l) 
Concessions will be operated by the concessionaire who holds the current contract awarded by the city.
(m) 
The city will provide one usual and customary field-prep, per field, per day. Sponsors/renters are not allowed to do maintenance on city property.

(a) 
Ballfields are available for tournament play during the months of March through October. Tournament play can be reserved for weekend use beginning the first Monday in February. Reservations must be made thirty (30) days in advance of the tournament date.
(b) 
Reservations may be made in person or by telephone during regular business hours at the city municipal center, 613 S.E. Parkway, Azle, Texas 76020, telephone 444-4128.
(c) 
A copy of the tournament schedule must be submitted on the Wednesday prior to the tournament date.

(a) 
Proof of insurance is required and must be submitted to the city, Parks and Recreation, 613 S.E. Parkway, Azle, Texas 76020, by the Wednesday prior to the tournament date. The city is not responsible for any accidents or injuries which might occur. Tournament insurance coverage must include comprehensive general liability insurance in the name of the renter/tournament sponsor, for the following limits:
(1) 
Personal injury or death: $1,000,000.00.
(2) 
Personal property damage: $1,000,000.00.
(b) 
This insurance policy must cover, in addition to the general public, the renter/tournament sponsor, its agents, employees, and contractors, including players and fans, and any other individual participating in or attending the tournament. The policy must also include the city as a named insured.

Rental fees and a deposit are required and due on the Wednesday prior to the tournament date. If the facility has been left in a clean and orderly manner, the deposit will be refunded within ten (10) business days after the tournament date. Tournament sponsors are directly responsible for damages incurred beyond the deposit amount. Deposits and fees are made payable to the city at the city’s permitting office. Deposits and rental fees are in the amount established in appendix A to this code.

Deposits will only be refundable if the tournament is cancelled by the city due to weather, or if the sponsor/renter cancels a minimum of (10) business days prior. All deposits will be applied toward the total amount due.
