Whosoever shall maliciously tamper with any part of the municipal
fire alarm system, such as pulling false box alarms, cutting any of
the line wires or disfiguring boxes, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.

The city hereby approves the action taken by the fire department
of this city in accepting the benefit of the Firemen's Relief and
Pension Law, being the act approved April 9, designated as House Bill
No. 258, 45th Legislature, Regular Session, and the city hereby accepts
the provision of the law for the benefit of its fire department.

In compliance with the action of the fire department in accepting
the fireman's relief and pension law, the city will hereafter deduct
from each paycheck of each paid fireman drawing a salary of fifty
dollars ($50.00) per month or more, two (2) percent of the regular
salary, and said two (2) percent will be paid over to the treasurer
of the board of firemen's relief and retirement fund trustees. Each
fireman drawing a salary of less than fifty dollars ($50.00) per month
and each volunteer firemen's relief and retirement fund trustees the
sum of three dollars ($3.00) per annum at such times as has been or
may hereafter be determined by action of the fire department.

It shall be unlawful for any person, other than officials of
the city and active members of the fire department in actual service
at the time, to get upon or ride upon any fire truck, wagon or any
other apparatus of any description belonging to the fire department
when the same is in use in going to or returning from any fire in
this city, or when the same is in service in answer to any fire alarm.
