§ 2-546 Established.

There are established departments of police and fire under the city’s administrative code.

§ 2-547 Appointment of chief of police.

The Police Department shall be under the direction of a chief of police who shall be appointed by the city manager and subject to his supervision as provided in Charter section 61.

The Fire Department shall be under the direction of a fire chief who shall be appointed by the city manager and subject to his supervision as provided in Charter section 61.
