The following is the description of the city limits:
Beginning at a point 1.7 feet north and 2.49 feet west of the southeast corner of that certain survey of land situated in Garza County, and known as Survey No. 1227 surveyed for J.V. Massey, located by virtue of Certificate No. 69, and patented to A.O. Bibbee, Assignee, by Patent No. 447, Volume 30, which patent is of record in Book 2 at page 28 of Garza County, Texas Patent Records; thence north zero degrees, 13 minutes west, 5,280 feet to a point 1.1 feet west and 3.1 feet north of the northeast corner of Survey No. 1227; thence south 89 degrees, 47 minutes west, 5,280 feet to a point 48.3 feet east and 138.2 feet north of the northwest corner of Survey No. 1227; thence south zero degrees, 13 feet east, 2,080 feet, to a point that is 80 feet west of a concrete monument at the northwest corner of Block 66, of the original town; thence south 89 degrees, 47 feet west, 200 feet; thence south zero degrees, 13 feet east, 1,112.5 feet to the north line of U.S. Highway No. 380; thence in a northeasterly direction, around the arc of a curve to the right, the radius of which is 5,779.65 feet, a distance of 179.13 feet, to the end of the curve; thence north 89 degrees, 48 feet east, on a line tangent to the curve, a distance of 20.9 feet, along the north line of the highway, to the west line of the 80-foot-wide street on the west side of the original town; thence south zero degrees, 13 feet east, 2,090.3 feet to the southwest corner of the original town; thence north 89 degrees, 47 feet east, 5,210 feet to the place of beginning.

The city has adopted a corporate seal having the words “City of Post, Texas,” engraved around the border and a star engraved in the center. It is hereby directed that the officers of the city shall use the seal in authenticating all writings, orders, documents and obligations of the city where it is necessary to use a seal, except as to matters pertaining to the court.

The city council does hereby contract with the Post Dispatch, a public newspaper of the county, to be the city’s official newspaper until another paper is selected. Further, the city’s use of said newspaper is for all purposes hereby ratified and confirmed.

The city council does hereby designate the county tax assessor-collector as the official tax assessor and collector of the city, pursuant to applicable state law, as amended, including but not limited to, Texas Tax Code sec. 6.22.
