A person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this article or who shall fail to comply with the requirements of this article or of the electrical code hereby adopted shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $2,000.00, and each and every day’s continuance of any violation of the provisions of this article shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. In case of any violation of any of the terms or provisions of this article by any corporation, the officers and agents, and person or persons actually performing the work for such corporation, shall be subject to the penalties herein provided.
