For the purpose of this article, the following definitions shall apply, unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning:
Drug free zone.
(1) 
In, on or within 1,000 feet of premises owned, rented, or leased by an institution of higher learning or a playground;
(2) 
In, on or within 300 feet of the premises of a public or private youth center, public swimming pool, or video arcade facility;
(3) 
In, on or within 1,000 feet of the premises of a school;
(4) 
On a school bus; or
(5) 
In, on or within 1,000 feet of any real property that is owned, rented or leased to a school or school board.

The city hereby adopts the maps of the drug-free zones by reference and authorizes the use of Resolution 3662, passed October 21, 2003, as certification and identification for the drug-free zones. The city engineer shall revise the maps when appropriate and provide proper certification.
