A dwelling is hereby defined as any type of building or structure, whether mobile or stationary, that is used for long term occupancy. Any single structure which includes more than one dwelling unit shall also be defined as a dwelling. Travel trailers, recreational vehicles, tent trailers and other mobile structures used for temporary occupancy shall not be considered dwellings. For the purpose of this article, long-term occupancy shall be defined as a period longer than ninety (90) days.

Where an existing dwelling is located on the property line, no other dwelling, whether mobile or stationary, shall be located or constructed within ten (10) feet of the dwelling located on the said property line.

Where more than one dwelling is located on the same lot, or where a property owner owns more than one lot and the lots are adjacent to each other, no dwelling, whether mobile or stationary, shall be located or constructed within ten (10) feet of another dwelling.

Where a dwelling is located or constructed before the enactment of this article it is considered a non-conforming dwelling and is not subject to the provisions of this article; however, the modification of or the construction of new additions to a non-conforming dwelling are prohibited if said modification or addition further violates any provision of this article.
