That the mayor and the two councilmembers elected in the regular city election held in the City of Sundown, on Saturday, April 1, 1978, serve a term of two years as required under Article 1154 of the RCS of the State of Texas.

That three councilmembers be elected to the city council for a term of two years at the regular election held on the first Saturday in April, 1979, and thereafter three councilmembers shall be elected for a term of two years on the first Saturday in April of the odd years; that the mayor and two councilmembers be elected to the city council for a term of two years at the regular election to be held on the first Saturday in April, beginning in 1980, and thereafter the mayor and two councilmembers shall be elected for a term of two years on the even years.
