Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $35. Any person exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than five miles per hour shall pay an additional fine of $2 per each mile in excess of five miles over the maximum speed limit.

Every driver of a vehicle approaching a stop or yield sign authorized by this section shall stop the vehicle or yield right-of-way as required by Section 3323(b) or 3323(c) of the Vehicle Code,[1] as the case may be, and shall not proceed into or across the through highway until he has followed all applicable requirements of that section of the law:

Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.
A. 
The following intersections (in addition to intersections with the through highways established by § 249-21) are established as yield intersections, and official yield signs shall be erected (or are ratified if previously erected) in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named street (the intersecting or through street) on the first-named street (the yield street) in the direction or directions indicated for that intersection. Every driver of a vehicle approaching the intersection on the first-named or yield street, in the direction indicated in each case, shall slow down or stop the vehicle as required by Section 3323(c) of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code,[1] and then yield the right-of-way as required by that subsection of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code.

Any driver of a vehicle who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.
A. 
No motor vehicle including a motor cycle, pedacycle, or ATV shall be operated on any property owned by the Township or any other public agency or instrumentality within the Township without permission of the property owner and a permit from the Board of Supervisors of the Township.
B. 
Any person who violates a provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.

B. 
The Board of Supervisors is authorized to designate as play highways, whenever they deem that the action is advisable, and for whatever period of time directed by them, any part of any street in the Township, where sledding and coasting shall be permitted. That play highway shall be set apart for the purpose under the direction of the Board of Supervisors.
C. 
No person shall drive any motor vehicle upon any play highway at any time when that street shall be designated a play highway, except in the case of an emergency, with special permission of the Board of Supervisors or of the police officer in charge, who shall first clear that play highway of all persons using it for the purpose for which it was set aside. Any person who violates any provision of this sub section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.
A. 
The following roads shall be designated as snowmobile roads:

B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a snowmobile on any highway, street, or road in the Township other than as provided above. Provided nothing in this section shall prohibit any person from operating a snowmobile on any other street in the Township:
(1) 
As authorized by Section 7721 of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code[1] for emergency bridge crossing of streets or two lane highways; or

(2) 
For special snowmobile events where authorized in advance and the street is blocked off as provided in Section 7723 of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code.[2] Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be subject to the penalties prescribed in Section 7752 of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code.[3]

A. 
Recreational and sporting equipment as used in this chapter shall be defined as follows:
(1) 
Basketball goals or nets whether permanent or temporary.
(2) 
Skateboarding ramps, half-pipes or rails.
(3) 
Soccer, hockey, lacrosse or other goals or nets.
(4) 
Bicycle ramps.
(5) 
Other sporting equipment that would cause an obstruction on a public roadway in the Township.
B. 
Other materials as used in this chapter shall include the following:
(1) 
Stone, mulch, snow and other accumulated materials.
(2) 
Dumpsters and/or container roll-offs.
C. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to permanently or temporarily locate or fix any recreational and sporting equipment, or other materials on or above any street, alley, or roadway in Douglass Township.
D. 
Removal of obstructions.
(1) 
Any of the described obstructions are nuisances and are a hazard to the public and shall be removed immediately from any street, alley or roadway of Douglass Township.
(2) 
Douglass Township shall have the right to remove any object or unauthorized item occupying any street, alley or roadway that presents an immediate hazard to public safety.
E. 
This restriction shall apply to any equipment or material which extends above or over the roadway.
F. 
Violations.
(1) 
Enforcement. The provisions of this section shall be enforced by:
(a) 
The Police Department serving Douglass Township.
(b) 
The Douglass Township Public Works Superintendent.
(c) 
Douglass Township Zoning Officer.
(d) 
Any other appropriate officer or officers of Douglass Township.
(2) 
Penalties. Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this section shall, upon conviction thereof in an action brought before a Magisterial District Judge in the manner provided for the enforcement of summary offenses under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 90 days. Each day that a violation of this section continues or each subsection of this section which shall be found to have been violated shall constitute a separate offense.
G. 
Township exemption. This section shall not apply to the Township nor prohibit it from placing equipment or material in Township roadways.
