Stop signs shall be erected as directed by the town manager, and all persons operating vehicles upon or over said streets shall obey such stop signs.

(a) 
Speed limits on specific streets.
Ordinances establishing special speed limits for specific streets are not included in this code, but such ordinances are on file in the town secretary’s office. Ordinances establishing special speed limits are specifically saved from repeal upon adoption of the Code of Ordinances.
(b) 
Speed limit in subdivisions.
It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate a motor vehicle on any other street or road in a subdivision as a subdivision is defined by the zoning ordinance of the town at a speed greater than twenty-five (25) miles per hour.
(c) 
Penalty.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in accordance with the general penalty provision in section 1.01.009 of this code.

(a) 
It is hereby resolved to authorize establishing one-way traffic only on U.S. Highway 80 north and south access roads beginning at the U.S. Highway 80 intersection with U.S. Highway 352, thence easterly to the intersection of East Fork Road.
(b) 
The town manager is hereby authorized to contact the state department of transportation to make the necessary changes for one-way traffic and proper signage and all other steps necessary to effectuate this resolution in accordance with the recitals set forth above.

(a) 
The driver of any motor vehicle upon a highway, street, or road within the town limits, upon meeting or overtaking from either direction any school bus which has stopped on such roadway for the purpose of receiving or discharging any school children, shall stop the vehicle immediately. Said vehicle shall remain stopped as long as the bus’s flashing lights are on, and may proceed only when the bus gets underway.
(b) 
The above does not apply to vehicles traveling another roadway on a divided highway, nor does it apply if the bus is stopped in a loading zone of a controlled access highway which does not allow for pedestrian crossing.

The provisions of this division shall apply to all persons operating a motor vehicle on public roadways within the incorporated limits of the town.

(a) 
A driver of a motor vehicle may not use a wireless communication device to view, send, or compose an electronic message or engage other application software while operating a motor vehicle.
(b) 
It is an affirmative defense to prosecution under this section if a wireless communications device is used:
(1) 
While the vehicle is stopped;
(2) 
Strictly to engage in a telephone conversation, including dialing or deactivating the call;
(3) 
As a global positioning or navigation system that is affixed to the vehicle;
(4) 
For obtaining emergency assistance to report a traffic accident, medical emergency, or serious traffic hazard, or to prevent a crime about to be committed; or
(5) 
In the reasonable belief a person’s life or safety is in immediate danger.
(c) 
This section does not apply to an operator of an authorized emergency vehicle using a wireless communication device while acting in an official capacity.
(d) 
To the extent this section conflicts with Texas Transportation Code section 545.424, regarding the use of wireless communication devices while operating a motor vehicle by minors, or Texas Transportation Code section 545.425, regarding the use of wireless communication devices in school crossing zones, this section does not apply.

Any person, corporation, or association violating any provision of this division shall be deemed guilty of an offense, and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine in accordance with the general penalty provided in section 1.01.009 of this code.
