The boundaries of the City of Nolanville shall be the same as have heretofore been established and as they existed on the day of the ratification of this Charter, and includes any and all subsequently annexed areas, which boundaries are more fully set out and described by the official city map of the City of Nolanville.

Additional territory may be annexed to the City in any manner and by any procedure that may now be provided by law or that may be hereafter provided by law. Same shall be in addition to the following methods:
A. 
Annexation by Ordinance.
The Council shall have the power by Ordinance, to annex territory lying adjacent to the City, to extend and enlarge the city boundaries and exchange area with other municipalities.
B. 
Annexation by Petition.
The owner or owners of any land contiguous or adjacent to the City may, by petition in writing to the City Council, request the annexation into the City. City Council may grant or refuse such petition as it sees fit. If the City Council grants such petition, it may receive such territory into the City.

Any area of the City may be disannexed pursuant to any procedure allowed under state law and whenever, in the opinion of the City Council, there exists within the corporate limits of the City a territory not suitable or necessary for City purposes, the City Council may by ordinance discontinue said territory as part of the City after notice and a public hearing.
