Pursuant to Section 721.005 of the Texas Transportation Code, the city council hereby elects to exempt from the requirements of 721.004 of the Transportation Code selected vehicles owned or operated by the city police department. The city manager or his designee is authorized to determine which vehicles will not have inscriptions and the city manager or city secretary will make the appropriate application to the Texas Department of Transportation.
