A certain document, three (3) copies of which are in file in the office of the city secretary of the city, being marked and designated as the International Mechanical Code, 2018 edition, including appendix chapter A, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the mechanical code of the city, in the state for regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of mechanical systems; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said mechanical code on file in the office of the city secretary are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in section 3.502 of this article.

The following changes are hereby made to the published version of the 2012 edition of the International Mechanical Code on file in the office of the city secretary. The changes contained herein shall be construed as a part of the published code, and in the event of a conflict between these provisions and their corresponding provisions in the published code, these provision shall control.[1]
