It is hereby established a municipal court and a municipal court
judge for the Town of Double Oak, Texas.

(a) The town
council will appoint a judge to this office. No person shall be appointed
unless he/she has resided in the State of Texas for a period of twelve
(12) months.
(b) The appointed
officer, if he/she is not a licensed attorney in the state, will complete
within one (1) year a twenty-four (24) hour course in the performance
of his/her duties, and thereafter a recurrent course of twelve (12)
hours per year.
(c) If the
appointed officer is a licensed attorney, he/she will complete within
one (1) year a twelve (12) hour course in the performance of his/her
duties, and thereafter a recurrent course of twelve (12) hours per
year.
(d) The term
of municipal court judge shall run concurrent with the term of mayor
and every two years thereafter.

(a) The positions
of city attorney and court clerk are hereby established for the Town
of Double Oak.
(b) The board
of aldermen will appoint a city attorney and court clerk to these
offices.
(c) No person
shall be appointed as city attorney unless he is an attorney licensed
to practice law by the State of Texas.
(d) The office
of city attorney and court clerk shall run concurrent with that of
the mayor.
