License Holder.
Means a person holding a state license to carry a concealed
handgun issued pursuant to Vernon's Ann. Civ. St., Art. 4413 (29ee).
Premises.
Means a building or a portion of a building. The term does
not include any public or private driveway, street, sidewalk or walkway,
parking lot, parking garage, or other parking area.

(a) The carrying
of any firearm, including handguns carried by a license holder, are
prohibited within the business premises of the town hall or town fire
station.
(b) In this
regard it is noted that state law makes it an offense for a license
holder to carry a handgun, regardless of whether the handgun is concealed,
at any meeting of a governmental entity.

The director of public works shall post signs at each entrance
to the town hall and the town fire station, reasonably likely to come
to the attention of persons entering such buildings, that indicate
that firearms and handguns are prohibited within such buildings. Such
posted signs shall be sufficient notice that entry under such circumstance
is forbidden, is without effective consent and shall be treated as
a criminal trespass.
