Editor's note-The map showing the names and numbers of streets as changed from time to time by the council, is kept in the city hall. Ordinances naming or re-naming specific streets and special ordinances shall remain in effect although omitted from this code.
The streets of Levelland, Texas, as shown on the amended map thereof, running east and west through the city are named and numbered as follows: The street running along the north side of Blocks Number 56 and 57 shall be called Front Street; the next street south thereof shall be named First Street; the next one south of that street shall be named Second Street; the next one south of that shall be named Third Street; the next one south of that shall be named Fourth Street; the next one south of that shall be Fifth Street; the next one south of that shall be Houston Street; the next one south of that shall be named Austin Street; the next one south of that shall be named Eighth Street; the next one south of that shall be named Ninth Street and the next one south of that shall be named Tenth Street.

The streets of Levelland, Texas, as shown on the amended map running north and south through the city shall be named as follows: The first street west of the Levelland-Littlefield Highway shall be named Avenue A; and as they come one after another westward from there, they shall be named respectively Avenue B, Avenue C, Avenue D, Avenue E, Avenue F, Avenue G, Avenue H, Avenue I, Avenue J. Avenue K, Avenue L, Avenue M, Avenue N.
