The Wells-Ogunquit Community School District School Committee shall be comprised of six members. Registered voters of each town shall elect at large from their respective towns three members. Election shall be to a three-year term, unless elected to fill an unexpired term. In the event of a vacancy on the Wells-Ogunquit Community School District School Committee, the municipal officers shall select a new member from the municipality to serve, after the vacancy is properly advertised, until the next annual municipal election. School Committee members shall be registered voters in the Town during their term of office. They shall hold no other positions that would be in conflict with their responsibilities and function as a School Committee member.
At the first Select Board meeting each November, a School Committee member will present the October 1 Attendance Report regarding the number of school-age children from Ogunquit attending the Wells-Ogunquit CSD, as well as any other information deemed appropriate to provide the Select Board and the citizens of Ogunquit regarding the education of our young people.
