The Imagine Burleson—A Roadmap to 2030 Comprehensive Plan, also referred to as Imagine Burleson Plan, approved on April 19, 2010 and amended by ordinance on November 17, 2020 is hereby adopted as the general guideline for all decisions made by the planning and zoning commission and the city council related to existing or proposed development of the city. The city shall evaluate all requests for zoning change or land subdivision to determine consistency with the comprehensive land use plan.

A copy of the comprehensive plan together with any amendments to the plan shall be filed for permanent record in the office of the city secretary, and a copy of the comprehensive land use plan, as amended, shall be kept in the development services department and shall be available for inspection during regular business hours.
