The permit fees provided for in the following section are established to recover the costs related to the enforcement and administration of the various codes regulating building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing improvements and construction with the city.

The fee for building permit issuance and other building permit fees shall be set by the city council from time to time and are as set forth in the fee schedule in appendix A of this code.
