The National Electrical Code, 2017 edition, is hereby adopted
by reference as though it were copied herein fully.

A person performing electrical repairs and maintenance work
with his/her own hands in a preexisting dwelling owned and occupied
by such person as his/her homestead shall not be required to obtain
a permit for, or inspection of, such work.

Any codes noted or mentioned in the National Electrical Code
which are not formally adopted by this part shall be a guide only
and are not subject to permit and enforcement.

(a) Except as described in subsection
(c), all wiring must be copper.
(b) A
main disconnect must be installed within three feet (3') of the electric
meter.
(c) Either
aluminum or copper may be used for the portion of the line identified
as the service entrance, such portion being only on the city side
of the wiring. All wiring on the landowner side must be copper.
