(a)
The National Electrical Code, 2023 edition, a publication of the National Fire Protection Association, along with North Central Texas Council of Government regional amendments adopted in 2023 attached to Ordinance 2024-01-01, and incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof as identified in exhibit A to Ordinance 2024-01-01, is hereby adopted and designated as the electrical code of the city, the same as though such code were copied at length herein.
(b)
Whenever in this section an act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or wherever in this section the doing of any act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, the violation of any such provision shall be punished by a fine that shall not be greater or less than the penalty provided for the same or similar offense under the laws of the state. Each day any violation of this section shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
