(a)
Adopted.
The International Fire Code, 2021 edition, including appendix, is hereby adopted and designated as the fire code of the city the same as though such code were copied at length herein, along with North Central Texas Council of Government regional amendments adopted in 2021 and incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof, the same as though such code were copied at length herein.
(b)
Penalty.
Whenever in this section an act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or wherever in this section the doing on any act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, the violation of any such provision shall be punished by a fine that shall not be greater or less than the penalty provided for the same or similar offense under the laws of the state. Each day any violation of this section shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
