(a) 
Speed limit.
The maximum prima facie speed limit within the same block of any school, church, park or hospital shall be 20 miles per hour. It is unlawful for any person to drive any vehicle at a speed greater than this limit during the times indicated on the signs. The chief of police shall erect appropriate signs giving notice of such speed limit, and no such limit shall be effective unless such signs are erected at such intersection or other place or part of such street.
(b) 
Specific locations.
The prima facie maximum reasonable and prudent speed on the portion of the streets designated below is the speed limit in miles per hour also designated below, at A.V. Cato Elementary and Castleberry Elementary Schools between the hours of 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and again from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, when school is in session, effective when appropriate signs giving notice of the limit are erected. These reduced speed limits are enforced between the signs which are erected designating the beginning and end of each school zone.

(1) 
A special school zone is hereby established at a prima facie speed of 20 miles per hour as plotted on exhibit A of Ordinance 930-2012 during the hours of 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and then 2:45 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. on school days only as follows:
(A) 
From station 23+35 and station 30+59 at the intersection of Churchill Road with Barbara Road north 490 feet on Churchill Road and from station 23+35 and station 30+59 at the intersection of Churchill Road with Barbara Road south 560 feet on Churchill;
(B) 
From station 23+35 and station 30+59 at the intersection of Churchill Road with Barbara Road west 225 feet on Barbara Road and from station 23+35 and station 30+59 at the intersection of Churchill Road with Barbara Road east 1,125 feet on Barbara Road to its intersection with Isbell Road;
(C) 
From station 00+00 on Springer Road north 600 feet; and
(2) 
In accordance with this chapter, the police chief hereby directs the city public works department to place signs designating the school zone and prima facie speed of 20 m.p.h. as established in subsection (c)(1) above from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and again from 2:45 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. only on school days.
(d) 
Special locations.
The prima facie maximum reasonable and prudent speed on the portion of the streets designated below is the speed limit in miles per hour also designated below, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and again 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. only on school days in the established school zone, Monday through Friday, when school is in session, effective when appropriate signs giving notice of the limit are erected. In the 4700 block of Shear Drive east from its intersection with Churchill Rd. to the point where the street intersects with the 300 block of Worthview Drive establishing a reasonable maximum prima facie speed limit of 20 miles per hour from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and again 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. only on school days in the established school zone.

Whenever the speed limit of thirty (30) miles per hour is, by the provisions of this article or other ordinance of the city council, increased or decreased at any intersection or other place or upon any part of a street, the chief of police shall erect appropriate signs giving notice of such speed limit, and no such limit shall be effective unless such signs are erected at such intersection or other place or part of such street.

A speed limit of forty (40) miles per hours is hereby established starting from State Highway 199 (Jacksboro Highway) proceeding west along State Highway 183 to the West Fork of the Trinity River.
(b) 
Upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation heretofore made as authorized by the provisions of the Texas Transportation Code, chapter 545, paragraph 545.356, the following prima facie speed limits hereafter indicated for vehicles are hereby determined and declared to be reasonable and safe; and such speed limits are hereby fixed at the rate of speed, indicated for vehicles traveling upon the named streets and highways, or parts thereof described as follows:

(c) 
The prima facie reasonable and prudent speed on the portion of the streets or highways designated in this subsection shall be the speed in miles per hour (mph) designated, as follows, provided that an appropriate sign giving notice of such speed zone is erected:
(1) 
From station 214.17 5 (western boundary of the city limit boundary at the intersection of State Highway 183 officially named River Oaks Boulevard and Sam Calloway Road) easterly 0.6 mile to station 248+81.5 at the intersection of Roberts Cut Off and River Oaks Boulevard, then north 0.6 mile along the western boundary of Roberts Cut Off to the intersection of Roberts Cut Off and Sam Calloway Road at station 31+88 and then northwestwardly 0.4 mile back to the original west boundary line at River Oaks Blvd. and Sam Calloway at the beginning station point 214.17 5, which includes all of the residential streets between those station number points and includes all of the residential streets of Taylor Road, Thomas Lane, James Avenue, Coates Drive, Schieme Street, Andrea Court, Club Oak Drive, Shady Oaks Drive, Cahill Oval, Makarwich Court, Asbury Drive, and Sam Calloway Road as the chart indicates below, at 20 miles per hour.

Inspiration Lane.
The prima facie maximum reasonable and prudent speed of 25 mph on Inspiration Lane approximately 0.455 miles from Miller Street north to the end of the street at the cul-de-sac effective when appropriate signs giving notice of the limit are erected. These reduced speed limits are enforced between the signs which are erected.

The prima facie maximum reasonable and prudent speed of 25 mph on Yale Street approximately 1.425 miles in street roadway length from River Oaks Blvd south to its intersection with Roberts Cut Off Road through the 2100 block of Yale Street, a distance of 7,524 feet effective when appropriate signs giving notice of the new speed limit are erected. These reduced speed limits are enforced between the signs which are erected.
