(a)
This article is intended to reduce the possibility of flooding and to establish erosion control measures to minimize the loss of life and damage to property, to reduce or eliminate health and safety hazards, and to avoid disruptions of commerce and governmental services. This article is intended to operate in conjunction with article 3.07 ("Flood Damage Prevention Regulations") and to be cumulative thereof.
(b)
The
provisions of this article shall apply to all subdivision development,
plats, replats, public works projects, infrastructure improvements,
and new building construction.

The town hereby adopts the drainage design requirements established
by Denton County, Texas, as amended (part IV of the "Subdivision Rules
& Regulations of Denton County, Texas"). Where such requirements
state Denton County, such shall be construed to refer to the Town
of Cross Roads, Texas. True and correct copies of the drainage design
requirements of Denton County shall be kept and maintained in the
office of the town secretary and the building official.
