(a) All
parking spaces, driveways, and access drives and areas on nonresidential
property must be paved with a concrete surface or other approved surface
in accordance with town standards before a certificate of occupancy
is granted. Pad sites for the parking of commercial vehicles, recreational
vehicles and trailers of all types must be equal to or greater in
size than the size of the vehicle or trailer, plus any permanently
attached towing mechanism.
(b) All
parking spaces (including but not limited to those designated specifically
for use by persons with disabilities), pad sites, drives, drive approaches,
drive lanes, fire lanes, and no-parking zones shall be installed in
accordance with the approved plat or site plan, and shall be installed,
striped and marked with permanent appropriate pavement markings and
signage, which shall be kept and maintained neat in appearance and
clearly legible.
(c) All
pavement must be of sufficient strength to support vehicular loads
imposed on it and shall be so graded and drained to dispose of all
surface water in accordance with requirements of the town and shall
be marked to provide for orderly and safe loading, unloading, parking,
and storage of vehicles. All surfaces and pavement markings shall
be maintained in good condition, generally free of potholes, cracks,
dust, weeds, debris, or broken pavement and allowing uninhibited access
to all parking and loading spaces or drives.
