There is hereby adopted the 2024 International Fire Code, excluding any and all appendices attached thereto, save and except those portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended. Said fire code is adopted for regulating, governing, and safeguarding life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling, and use of hazardous substances, materials, and devices; and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises in the city; and to provide for the issuance of permits for hazardous uses and operations. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions, and terms of such International Fire Code, published by the International Code Council and on file in the office of the code compliance official, are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein.
