The chief of police is hereby authorized to designate fire lanes
in any parking area within the city, whether such parking area is
upon private property or public property. Such fire lanes designated
by the chief of police shall control the parking of vehicles and any
person in an area designated as a fire lane shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor in violation of this section.

The permit fees for the following permits are as set forth in the fee schedule in appendix
A of this code:
(1) Sprinkler
system permits.

(a) Definitions.
The following terms used in this section
shall be defined as follows:

Any:

Legal entity operating a commercial business inside the city
limits or outside the city limits in areas in which the city is authorized
to provide fire and rescue services; or
(3)
Agent, employer, or employee of a nonresident of the city or
legal entity operating a commercial business inside the city limits
or outside the city limits in areas in which the city is authorized
to provide fire and rescue services.
(b) Applicability; collection.
(1) Fire and rescue service fees, as specified in the fee schedule in appendix
A of this code, which may be amended from time to time, will be charged to any person who is deemed to be at fault for the causation of, or whose negligence contributed to, an incident requiring city fire and rescue services.
(2) The city or its authorized agent shall send an invoice to the person
or the person’s insurance provider and such person or insurance
provider shall remit full payment of such fees to the city or its
authorized agent immediately upon receipt of an invoice.
(3) Fees will be charged and collected for those fire and rescue services
provided inside the city limits as well as those services provided
outside the city limits in areas where the city is authorized to provide
such services.
(c) Schedule of fees.
The schedule of fees for fire and rescue services rendered is as set forth in the fee schedule in appendix
A of this code.
