(a)
Applicants requesting use of public facilities or streets shall furnish to the city evidence that insurance has been procured for public liability and property damage in the following amounts:

(b)
Such insurance shall be kept in full force and effect during the period of time for which a permit shall be issued or the public premises occupied. Such insurance shall be written by insurance companies authorized to do any insurance business in the state.
