(a)
Schedule.
All vehicles crossing the railroad must come to a complete stop before proceeding at the locations designated by ordinance, on file in the city secretary’s office, where the street intersects the railroad.
(b)
Signs.
“Stop” signs shall be erected and maintained by the city at the aforementioned intersections.
(c)
Enforcement.
Enforcement of this section shall be provided by the city police department.
(d)
Violation and penalty.
Any person or persons who violates or attempts to violate the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not less than forty dollars ($40.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00).

(a)
General speed limit.
No person shall drive or operate a motor or other vehicle in, upon, along or across any public highway, street, alley, railway or thoroughfare within the corporate limits of the city at a greater rate of speed than thirty (30) miles per hour, except as specifically noted in other provisions of this section.
(b)
Turning speed limit.
No person driving or operating a motor or other vehicle shall turn at a street intersection or crossing at a greater rate of speed than fifteen (15) miles per hour.
(c)
School zones.
No person shall operate or drive a motor vehicle within a designated school zone at a greater rate of speed than twenty (20) miles per hour between the hours of seven o’clock (7:00) a.m. and nine o’clock (9:00) a.m. and two o’clock (2:00) p.m. to four o’clock (4:00) p.m. on any weekday when school is in session. Said speed limit is applicable for vehicles traveling upon the streets or portions thereof as set forth in the schedule on file in the office of the city secretary.
(d)
Speed limits on specific streets.
(1)
Ordinances establishing special speed limits for specific streets are not included in this code, but such ordinances are on file in the city secretary’s office. Ordinances establishing special speed limits are specifically saved from repeal upon adoption of the Code of Ordinances.
(2)
The city superintendent is hereby authorized to cause to be erected appropriate signs indicating such speed zones.
(e)
Exceptions.
(1)
The speed limits set forth in this section shall not apply to vehicles of the fire and police departments of the city when in the regular course of their proper duty, and said speed limits shall not apply to ambulances or physicians responding to emergency calls; provided, that no such ambulance or physician shall exceed sixty (60) miles per hour on such emergency calls, and further provided, that the ambulance driver of any ambulance of any funeral home, hospital or other establishment in the city shall notify the police department of said emergency.
(2)
Nothing in this section shall be construed as prohibiting the driver of a vehicle from obeying the instructions of any police officer directing traffic or any sign, signal or device directing the movement of traffic.

(a)
Emerging from alley or driveway.
The driver of any vehicle emerging from an alley, driveway or building shall stop such vehicle immediately prior to driving onto or across a sidewalk or sidewalk area and into the street.
(b)
Approaching vehicle at crossing.
No person having charge of a vehicle shall allow the same to come within ten feet (10') of any vehicle in front of same while approaching and passing over a crossing of an intersecting street.

(a)
It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to drive between the vehicles comprising a funeral procession or other authorized procession while they are in motion.
(b)
This provision shall not apply to intersections where traffic is controlled by traffic-control signals or police officers.

It shall be unlawful:
(1)
Boarding and alighting from vehicles.
(A)
For any person to board or alight from any vehicle while such vehicle is in motion.
(B)
For any person to alight or attempt to alight from any vehicle parked parallel with the curb from the side of the vehicle away from the curb when another vehicle is approaching on the same side of the street within one hundred feet (100') from said parked vehicle.
(2)
Unlawful riding.
For any person to ride on any vehicle upon any portion thereof not designated or intended for the use of passengers when such vehicle is in motion.
