It is advantageous, beneficial, and in the best interest of the citizens of the city that the municipal court charge and collect a fee set up specifically for future uses and purposes for the municipal court to establish a municipal court security fund. This fund would be utilized to provide security for said municipal court.

A person and/or entity convicted of a class C misdemeanor in municipal court shall, in addition to incurring any applicable fines and/or court cost, also be required to pay, as additional court cost, a three dollar ($3.00) fee which will be used expressly and specifically for a municipal court security fund.

This article may be enforced in the same method and manner that the municipal court would enforce payment of any other court cost, fines, and/or fees including the issuance of a warrant for said nonpayment.
