(a) 
The following streets, avenues and highways are hereby designated as truck routes within the corporate limits of the city.
(1) 
FM 996 extending from FM 1417 to FM 120.
(2) 
FM 120 from the eastern city limits to State Highway 289.
(3) 
Spur 316 from FM 120 to State Highway 289 North.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or park any truck, tractor, cab, with or without a trailer or gross weight over 18,000 lbs in any residential zoning area of the city or in a public rights-of-way of a residential zoned area.
(1) 
That if the point of origin or destination for commercial purposes only, for such truck shall be off such truck route, then such truck may proceed by the shortest route to the nearest truck route.
(2) 
This subsection shall not apply to recreational vehicles as to use and travel upon the public streets, but shall apply to recreational vehicles as standing or parking.
(c) 
Any person who violates subsection (b), shall be charged with a class C misdemeanor and, upon conviction will be subject to the fine in accordance with the general penalty provision in Section 1.109 of this code.
(d) 
Grayson Street, from Highway 996 to Highway 120 is a residential street; and traffic along this street creates traffic hazards and excessive noise pollution. Truck traffic is intended to follow Highway 996 (Franklin Street) through this portion of the city; therefore, trucks are hereby prohibited from using Grayson Street from Highway 996 to Highway 120. Signs placed at the intersections of Highway 996 and Grayson Street and at Grayson Street and Highway 120 do so designate “No Trucks Allowed.”

The load limit on the bridge built to permit traffic crossing Little Mineral Creek on the access road to Festival Park in the City of Pottsboro, Texas is hereby established as not more than forty thousand (40,000) pounds.
