The city council does hereby adopt the International Residential
Code, 2018 edition as published by the International Code Council.
A copy of the International Residential Code, 2018 edition shall be
kept in the office of the city secretary.

Future amendments (not including clarifications or technical
notices of any type) of said International Residential Code, 2012
edition, are not adopted by this division, and must be subsequently
approved and adopted by the city council.

In the event any provision in this division conflicts with the
2012 version of the International Residential Code, this division
shall govern.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this division
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall
be fined in an amount not to exceed $2,000.00. Each day of violation
shall constitute a separate offense.
