The National Electric Code, 2020 Edition, as published by the
National Fire Protection Association, is hereby adopted as the Electrical
Code of the City of Versailles for the control of buildings and structures
within the City. Each and all of the regulations, provision, penalties,
conditions and terms of the code are hereby adopted by reference and
made a part of this Article as if fully set out in this Article. One
(1) copy of the 2020 Electrical Code is on file in the office of the
City Clerk.

Any person violating any of the provision of this Article or
the National Electrical Code adopted in this Article shall be deemed
guilty of an ordinance violation and upon conviction thereof shall
be fined in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00)
or be imprisoned in the County Jail for a period not exceeding ninety
(90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation
is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate
offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
