Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135, the office of Deputy Borough Clerk is hereby created.

The Deputy Borough Clerk shall be appointed by the Council for a term of one year or until the office shall have been abolished.
The duties of the Deputy Borough Clerk shall be:
A.
To perform all of the duties of the Borough Clerk in the absence of the Borough Clerk or when specifically assigned to do so.
B.
To perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Borough Clerk or Administrator.
C.
To perform such other duties as may be assigned by written rule, regulation, resolution or directive of the governing body.
The Deputy Borough Clerk shall receive a salary as fixed and established by the annual Salary Ordinance of the Borough.
