All of the provisions of V.T.C.A., Local Government Code, sections 141.006, 341.001 and 341.012 are hereby adopted.

The city council shall have the right to appoint such police officers as it deems fit, upon the request by and approval of the chief of police.

All of the powers, rights and duties given to a city marshal under the terms of V.T.C.A., Local Government Code, sections 341.021 are hereby conferred upon the chief of police and all police officers appointed by the city council.

The chief of police and all police officers of the city shall hold their offices at the pleasure of the city council and for such term as the city council directs.
