(a) 
Whenever any ordinance of this city designates any one-way street or alley the city shall place and maintain signs giving notice thereof, and no such regulation shall be effective unless such signs are in place. Signs indicating the direction of lawful traffic movement shall be placed at every intersection where movement of traffic in the opposite direction is prohibited.
(b) 
Upon those streets and parts of streets and in those alleys described in Schedule I, attached hereto and made a part hereof, vehicular traffic shall move only in the indicated direction when signs indicating the direction of traffic are erected and maintained at every intersection where movement in the opposite direction is prohibited.

(a) 
The city manager is hereby authorized to determine those intersections at which drivers of vehicles shall not make a right, left or U-turn, and shall place proper signs at such intersections. The making of such turns may be prohibited between certain hours of any day and permitted at other hours, in which event the same shall be plainly indicated on the signs or they may be removed when such turns are permitted.
(b) 
Whenever authorized signs are erected indicating that no right or left or U-turn is permitted, no driver of a vehicle shall disobey the directions of any such sign.
(c) 
The driver of any vehicle shall not turn such vehicle so as to proceed in the opposite direction upon any street in a business district and shall not upon any other street so turn a vehicle unless such movement can be made in safety and without interfering with other traffic.

It shall be unlawful to drive a vehicle over any sidewalk area and through any driveway, parking lot or any business entrance at any intersection, in making either a right or left turn, except for the purpose of coming to a complete stop to obtain or render some service or make a sale or purchase. It is the intention of this section to prohibit “corner cutting” by driving a vehicle from one street into another across any sidewalk or driveway and through any driveway.

(a) 
The state traffic laws regulating the speed of vehicles shall be applicable upon all streets within this city, except as this section, as authorized by state law, declares and determines upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that certain speed regulations shall be applicable upon specified streets or in certain areas, in which event it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of any speed so declared in this section when signs are in place giving notice thereof.
(b) 
Upon those streets and parts of streets described in Schedule I attached hereto and made a part hereof, it shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate a motor or other vehicle at a speed greater than that specified in Schedule I.

(a) 
The speed zone map maintained by the city is hereby adopted in its entirety designating the maximum legal speed limits within zones shown thereon.
(b) 
The maximum legal speed limits as shown on such speed zone map shall, from and after the passage and effective date of this section, be the maximum legal speed limits as therein provided.
(c) 
Proper and appropriate signs shall be erected, or permitted to be erected, designating such zones as provided by the map above referred to.
(d) 
The speed zone map is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety as a part of this section.

(a) 
The driver of a vehicle upon a roadway within the limits of the city, upon meeting or overtaking from either direction any school bus which has stopped on the highway for the purpose of receiving or discharging any school children, shall stop the vehicle before reaching such school bus when there is in operation on said school bus a visual signal as specified in section 124 of the Texas Uniform Act Regulating Traffic on Highways (V.T.C.A., Transportation Code, sec. 547.701) and said driver shall not proceed until such school bus resumes motion or is signaled by the school bus driver to proceed or the visual signals are no longer actuated.
(b) 
The driver of a vehicle upon a highway with separate roadways need not stop upon meeting or passing a school bus which is on a different roadway or when upon a controlled-access highway and the school bus is stopped in a loading zone which is a part of or adjacent to such highway and where pedestrians are not permitted to cross the roadway.
