There is hereby levied a fire protection fee for fire protection services of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for the purpose of defraying the cost of fire protection to the utility customers of the city.

The fees for the permits required by article 7.03 are as follows:
(1) 
Permit for the drilling or construction of a new well one hundred fifty (150) feet deep, fifty dollars ($50.00); exceeding one hundred fifty (150) feet, fifty dollars ($50.00) plus twenty-five cents ($0.25) per foot thereafter.
(2) 
Permit to repair or correct a defective well: No charge.
(3) 
Permit to abandon or plug a well: No charge.
